Back when I was living in Miami, I had two car accidents within 8 days. Yeah. The first one, I was rear-ended. The second one was totally my fault. I was broadsided because I was doing something stupid. I totaled my car and messed up my left shoulder. I think my head hit the rear-view mirror, also.

I asked a friend of mine a few days after the 2nd one, when my upper back was killing me, “Should I go to an orthopedic surgeon or a chiropractor?” She pointed me in the direction of her chiropractor. Between chiropractic and massage therapy, after a few months, I was pain-free.

A few years later, I moved north to Melbourne, FL. My church was building a new sanctuary and we were in a temporary building. I was in the choir. One evening, during choir practice, some volunteers were painting the interior of the temporary building while we were rehearsing. I had a bad reaction in my throat to the fumes that resulted in a bad cold. I was coughing and coughing. One time, I coughed so hard, I felt a pain in my back and side. Something got out of whack, but I had no idea what it would cause.

I recovered from the cold, but all of a sudden I had acid reflux – BAD. I went to the doctor and was referred to a gastroenterologist. He did an upper GI to see if the little valve between the stomach and the esophagus was damaged. Nope. It was fine. I was taking antacids like they were candy. I couldn’t lie down to sleep without choking. It was affecting my throat. I couldn’t garden. Every time I bent over, the acid would come up. Yuk.

Back to the gastroenterologist who couldn’t figure out what was going on with me. He suggested that I wear a tube from my nose down to my stomach for a few days. No way!

At that point, I said – I need a chiropractor.

After a few weeks of adjustments, I was healed! (Related: How Chiropractic Helps Digestive Issues)

Fast forward to Phoenix, AZ, 2005 – I’m driving on the 60 coming from Mesa and I noticed this pick-up truck tailgating me. Then the cars in front of me started slowing down. I hit the brakes and Boom! the truck hit me. Rear-ended again! This time, I already had a chiropractor near my house and I called to make an appointment. She fixed me. (BTW, I drove my Kia sedan away and the truck had to be towed.)

Most recently, I’ve been seeing Dr. French for my shoulder pain, arthritis in my ankles, hip and wrists and he’s straightening my neck (I have “text neck”).

What impressed me about Dr. French is his holistic approach to my pain. Yes, I have osteoarthritis caused by inflammation. As long as I’m overweight, my knees, ankles and feet are going to hurt. It makes sense. I have to deal with my weight problem. He introduced me to Whole Life 180.

Here’s my weight-loss story and if you are frustrated with yo-yo dieting, have read and tried every book and fad diet, then you need Whole Life 180. Here, let Dr. French explain….
